There are those who talk about quality and there are those who actually make that commitment to quality.

Quality may be subjective but in the context of standards, we at PHINMA Property Holdings Corporation (PPHC) have made that leap to align ourselves with International Standards not just for one but three accreditation certificates– ISO 9001 for Quality management, ISO 14001 for Environmental management and OHSAS 18001 for the Health and Safety management.

ISO 9001 for International Quality Standards.

OHSAS 18001 for International Health and Safety Standards.
Quality is vital throughout the housing community process. Customer expectations are constantly on the rise but we at PPHC have not lost track of safety not only for our engineers and workers who strive to deliver quality units, but also for our buyers and residents who move in to their new communities. Our accreditation for tight safety standards aims to reduce and eliminate incidents and callback, and achieve efficiency through reduced cycle time. These translate not only to safe environments for our buyers but also to cost savings we pass on to them.

Leading affordable, medium-rise housing developer Phinma Property Holdings Corporation (PPHC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the country’s pioneering conglomerate PHINMA, has recently made a leap in aligning its operations with international standards, earning for the company not just one but three international accreditations.

In his speech at PHINMA’s 50th anniversary gala, PHINMA President & CEO Ramon R. Del Rosario, Jr. announces, “Our property unit received two accreditation certificates each for quality and environmental management from the International Standards Organization (ISO), as well as the OHSAS 18001 for international health and safey standards, thus making PPHC the first property developer in the country to be triple-certified.”

PPHC was also recognized this year as a “Superbrand” by Superbrands Philippines. It has more than 4,000 affordable condominium built to date.

Proudly presenting the certification is Ramon R. del Rosario, Jr.; Oscar J. Hilado; Willie J. Uy; George Richard F. Siton (PPHC-AVP), Grant G. Orbeta (PPHC-AVP), Elori J. Lacanienta (PPHC-Planning Manager), Stephen B. Sabularse (PPHC-Comptroller), Pythagoras L. Brion, Jr (SVP-Treasurer).

PPHC has earlier announced that it has three new projects being started in the last quarter of the year and will build up to six simultaneous projects by 2009. The first of said three projects is the expansion-site to the successful Spazio Bernardo condo township finished in July of this year. Dubbed as “the West Villas” which is now under construction, the project comprises four medium-rise buildings (adding 319 units to Spazio’s 957) being built on a two-thirds hectare lot adjacent to Spazio Bernardo’s 1.6-hectare.

The other two projects also to be launched this year are San Benissa Garden Villas and Fountain Breeze. To be located in Commonwealth Ave., Quezon City, San Benissa is envisioned as a Spanish-inspired enclave comprising medium-rise condominium buildings amidst a rolling terrain and lush landscape. On the other hand, to be constructed in Sucat, Parañaque, Fountain Breeze is envisioned as a masterplanned community of medium and high-rise condos and single-attached townhouse units.

Attended by an illustrious roster of executives and guests, PHINMA’s 50th anniversary gala night themed "Empowering the Future by Honoring the Past" brought everyone along in a trip down memory lane. The event started with a presentation of PHINMA’s colorful history through a song number and flashing of a collage of photos capturing important faces and milestones comprising PHINMA’s five decades of reign in the country’s business landscape.
Former Ambassador Ramon V. Del Rosario, Sr., Filemon C. Rodriguez and Ernesto O. Escaler formed PHINMA in 1956, then the first Filipino-managed investment firm. This was during an era of foreign dominance in the Philippine industry, giving the needed impetus to developing and promoting Filipino entrepreneurship and professional management skills.

PHINMA President Del Rosario also cited in his speech the Group’s radical shift from heavy investments in industrial and manufacturing industries to basic services, namely, education, housing, power, financial services, and tourism. He said that PHINMA’s reformulated mission thus becomes "to help make life better for the Filipino by giving him improved access to the essentials of a dignified life."
