Microtel Baguio

Microtel in the Philippines is managed by Paramount, headed by Jose Mari del Rosario. He was the first Filipino General Manager and chief operating manager of Manila Hotel in 1994. After his term with the hotel, he took a Masters in Management in Cambridge, Massachusetts. While in the USA, he came across Microtel Inns & Suites. In line with his vision "to bring a world-class hotel product to the Philippines that can provide consistent quality, safety, convenience and value. A no-frills hotel" he acquired the franchise for the Philippines in 1998.

Since then, Microtel has been one of the fastest growing hotel establishments in the country. They have put up several establishments: in Baguio, Tarlac, Cavite, Batangas, and soon in Boracay, Davao, and Cabanatuan
