The Phinma Group of Companies launched the Phinma Hero Network, the company’s advocacy campaign aimed towards transforming the Phinma Group workforce into Helpful Employees Responsible for Others. The goal of this campaign is to encourage employees to live and practice volunteerism in whatever cause or community they hold dear to their hearts, thus being heroes in their own way. This is living Phinma’s philosophy of “Life can be better.”

The program opened with a prayer by Peter Perfecto and was hosted by Chiqui Posadas. Shone was a three minute audio-visual presentation about the Phinma Hero Network’s mission to make heroes out of the Phinma Group employees as inspired by the late Amb. Ramon V. del Rosario, Sr. Bobby Laviña gave a stirring speech about one’s mission to make life better for the fellow Filipino. Ramon R. del Rosario, Jr. continued to drive the heroic spirit by naming and thanking individual employees for spending time doing volunteer work, then posed to the employees a challenge to stand up for what they believe in and create the change needed in the world. Sheila Mendoza explained to the employees that there is a huge demand for help from volunteers but a limited supply of volunteers themselves.

Miguel del Rosario introduced the new website and other mechanics of the network while Marie Gonzalez introduced the Volunteer Fair which aimed to “unleash the hero” in the employees. Invited to the fair were companies from the Phinma Group (Phinma Properties, UGC, Trans Asia), the Phinma volunteers (now known as the Phinma Heroes), and five non-government organizations (Restorative Justice Ministry of Caritas Manila, Advocates for Children and Elders International Phil., the Philippine National Red Cross, Kythe, Inc., and the Philippine Animal Welfare Society). Free t-shirts were given to the first 150 people who signed up.
